Former TCB chief joins Fred Media

Australia-based distributor Fred Media has appointed a former TCB Media Rights and Cineflix executive as the company’s latest strategic consultant.

Kate Lewellyn-Jones has joined the Fred team in a senior consultancy role to help boost the company’s expertise in pre-sales and acquisitions and will be working from the UK.

Prior to joining Fred, Lewellyn-Jones was the MD at Kew Media-backed distributor TCB Media Rights until early last year, as well as serving as senior VP of sales and acquisition management at UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights.

Her appointment at Fred Media follows the recent recruitment of former TCB executive Mem Bakar as Fred’s senior sales manager in the UK and Western Europe.

Lewellyn-Jones said: “As a fully integrated production and distribution company, Fred is able to offer unique opportunities to producers to help get their shows into production and I’m going to enjoy developing strategies to get the best results for producers and broadcasters.”
