European nets take trip to Andes

Broadcasters from around Europe have acquired a three-part series about the wildlife of the Andes from German sales house Autentic Distribution.

Rai in Italy, TRT in Turkey, ITI Neovision in Poland, SRF and RTS in Switzerland and RTVE in Spain will air The Wild Andes (3×50′), which is produced by German prodco Light & Shadow and fronted by Christian Baumeister.

RTVE has also acquired a package of programming from Autentic totalling more than 20 hours and including the Fleischmann Film series Stereotypes (10×30′) and Who’s Beautiful? (5×30′) by Kobalt Productions.

Elsewhere, UR in Sweden has picked up a package of 15 hours of programming from Autentic, featuring titles such as Balkan Boom Towns (5×52′) by Micafilm and the 15th Meridian East (5×52′), which Autentic coproduced with DM Film.

The latter two titles have also been bought by Swiss broadcaster SRF, along with a 45-minute special from German broadcaster WDR on anti-Semitism in Europe.

Meanwhile, US streaming platform Curiosity Stream has picked up history-themed programming such as The Egtved Girl (1×52′) by Casei Media and The DC-3 Story (1×52′) produced by Vidicom.
