Eleventh Hour targets youth series

UK prodco Eleventh Hour Films (EHF) has signed a coproduction deal with a firm specialising in music videos to develop a slate of new dramas.

EHF, producer of scripted series such as Safe House, Foyle’s War, New Blood and Vexed, will work with fellow London-based company Luti Media on the TV dramas.

Luti Media has produced music videos for artists including Zayn Malik, Rita Ora, One Direction and Kanye West.

EHF wants to capitalise on Luti Media’s expertise in producing “youth-facing content” to develop “a unique slate of projects, both fiction and true stories” and to work with up-and-coming talent in the entertainment industry.

The two companies are already working on a first script commission with Channel 4 in the UK in the form of Laylah and the Universe, described as a witty drama penned by actor, writer and director O-T Fagbenle.
