Dunseith to deliver for BBC NI

BBC Northern Ireland (BBC NI) has appointed a new head of content production to replace Eddie Doyle.

Emma Dunseith is taking over Doyle’s role following his recent appointment as head of content commissioning for BBC NI.

In her new role, Dunseith will oversee the delivery of BBC NI’s content across all in-house production outside of news and current affairs. This includes factual, entertainment, sports, music and events.

Dunseith will work closely with Doyle across TV, radio and digital platforms.

Prior to taking up the role, Dunseith was executive editor of arts, music and learning which saw her create new opportunities for talent on TV and BBC Radio Ulster. She began her career at the BBC more than 20 years ago and has worked in news, online, learning, arts and factual television.

Peter Johnston, director of BBC NI, said: “Emma brings with her a wealth of experience, a passion for public service broadcasting and proven leadership skills. She is truly committed to identifying and developing new talent and creating great content fit for all audiences. I look forward to working with her in this role.”
