C21 partners with Dish TV to launch Content India in Mumbai

C21Media and Dish TV have joined forces to launch Content India, a three-day market and conference in Mumbai designed to build fresh partnerships across the Indian entertainment business and with the international market.

The first full event will take place in April 2026 and will be preceded by an invite-only Content India Summit between April 1 and 3, 2025 that will define the mission for the initiative.

This summit will bring together key players from the global business with leaders in the Indian market to define the objectives for a full three-day conference and market in April 2026.

Content India will be based on C21’s existing market-leading event formats Content Americas, Content LA, Content Warsaw, Content Canada and Content London.

It will combine a marketplace, conference and networking agenda that connects creators, producers, distributors, platforms and channels around a progressive agenda.

David Jenkinson

Making the announcement, C21’s editor-in-chief & managing director David Jenkinson said: “The Indian content sector is prolific and it needs no help from the international community to succeed. However, there is an enormous opportunity to connect key players from the domestic business with those from the global community to bring about next-generation content that works worldwide. There is also a significant tech and post production community in India and locations that are unrivalled anywhere in the world. We will showcase these at Content India.

“We are delighted to find a partner in Dish TV that is connected and agnostic, and we look forward to doing great things together.”

Manoj Dobhal

Manoj Dobhal, executive director & CEO of Dish TV, added: “We have long held C21’s ‘Content’ franchise in high regard, so it is great to partnering to bring the global brand to India. There is a massive opportunity to connect the most prominent and recognised as well as new players from all sectors, both locally and internationally, to forge new partnerships in India, beginning with Mumbai.

“Our endeavour is to make the content ecosystem and infrastructure in India grow and realise its true potential as the catalyst in realising the objectives and aspirations of Indian content creators, various stakeholders and the government. We will ensure all the key players are at the event and work with C21 to ensure Content India is an unmissable date in the calendar every year.

“Dish TV, with its various brands in broadcasting and streaming services, is a leading content aggregator and distributor in India. With our presence in the media distribution space across technology platforms, we are ideally positioned to create a content hub for Indian and international content creators and filmmakers.”
