Content London diversifies with Triforce

Content London has partnered with the TriForce Creative Network to support diversity and inclusion at the 2018 event.

TriForce Creative Network was built on a strong ethos of inclusion and access, opening doors to the industry to people from all walks of life and providing a trusted and viable avenue for the industry to discover diverse talent. It provides opportunities for actors, writers, directors, producers and crew through a number of initiatives.

These include The TCN Incubator, which develops six writers over an 18-month period with regular workshops, script development and mentoring; MonologueSlam UK (supported by Spotlight, and Equity) a renowned nationwide showcase for actors; WriterSlam UK (previously supported by Channel 4, ITV, Sky and BBC, as well as production companies Hat Trick, Tiger Aspect and TriForce Productions) which provides a platform for writers looking to break into TV; and the TriForce Short Film Festival (TFSFF), which showcases talent in contemporary film-making, helping emerging film-makers to develop skills and access opportunities to further their careers.

““David”C21’s editor-in-chief & managing director, David Jenkinson, said: “This partnership with Triforce and its many progressive initiatives will help Content London reflect and represent a broader constituency. We are proud to be associated with the network and look forward to working together to help make the entertainment industry a more inclusive business.”

TriForce Creative Network has been at the forefront of developing and nurturing diverse and inclusive talent for 15 years. In June it launched Dandi, created to offer a one stop shop for organisations to connect with diverse talent, in all departments from across the UK.

Content London will host the final of WriterSlam UK on Tuesday November 27, and also showcase some of the TFSFF finalist projects during the conference. In addition Content London will connect a raft of projects and talent coming out of the competitions directly with the global drama business during the three-day event.

““Fraser”Triforce CEO, Fraser Ayres added: With so much work in the landscape of inclusion still to be done, C21’s ground-breaking and international approach to diversity is sorely needed. With their generous support, we’re looking forward to being able to take the scale of the work we have been doing for 15 years to a whole new level, and provide unprecedented access and opportunities for talent that our industry needs to survive and thrive.’

Further details of the partnership will be announced shortly.
