Cineflix recruits Warrior Women doc

NEWS BRIEF: UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights has added a one-off documentary about an army of female fighters in West Africa to its slate ahead of Mipcom.

Warrior Women with Lupita Nyong’o was originally produced by SandStone Global Pictures for the UK’s Channel 4. It follows the Oscar-winning actor as she travels to Benin to learn more about the Agojie, who served as the inspiration for the Dora Milaje army in Marvel’s Black Panther movie, which starred Nyong’o.
