NEWS BRIEF: CBeebies in the UK has commissioned a second season (30×11′) of preschool comedy drama Waffle the Wonder Dog from London-based Darrall Macqueen, as well as a Christmas special.

Billy Macqueen of Darrall Macqueen said the show’s the first season had attracted more than 20 million views on BBC VoD service iPlayer, adding that its serialised storyline featuring a blended family had resonated with its target audience of four- to seven-year-olds.
