2025 FINALISTS

SCRIPTED

ENRIQUE

Sfera Film in partnership with KyivstarTV and and 1+1 Media.
Ukraine

ENRIQUE is the first Ukrainian true crime series based on real events, challenging the tolerance of violence against women in closed patriarchal communities. The story is inspired by the chilling crimes of Elvis, one of Ukraine’s most notorious serial killers, showcasing shocking details of his crimes and their investigations.

The main character, Adam, is a controversial, withdrawn and mysterious young detective who moves to the small town of Tykha Nava after his fiancée is raped, determined to find the perpetrator. However, suspicion soon falls on him due to strange circumstances and his ambiguous behaviour.
Adam confronts the local police, who have long covered up crimes by blaming victims themselves. He doesn’t merely investigate cases – he fights an entire system of silence, fear and impunity. Simultaneously, he grapples with his inner demons, doubting his own innocence and fearing he’ll follow the path of his biological father, a serial criminal.

Each episode introduces a new victim, new secrets and fresh perspectives on the fear and shame faced by survivors. ENRIQUE uncovers the horrifying truth about a small-town closed society where the woman is always blamed. The series poses uncomfortable questions: Why do victims stay silent, and why does the system seek to break them? Viewers will immerse themselves in a complex psychological game involving Adam, his surroundings and a mysterious killer who has gone unnoticed for years.

THE GOLDEN ROCK

Bahama Films
Poland

Marta is a respected psychologist who shines in morning TV shows. With her husband and son, she recently moved to an apartment estate called Golden Rock, a premium housing estate for Warsaw’s elite. However, her luxurious life is just a facade. In reality, Marta lives in constant tension. Her long-awaited son has behavioural problems, her marriage is struggling, and she is still treated as an outsider by her snobbish neighbours. The situation dramatically worsens when a tragedy occurs. The little daughter of an influencer living in the complex is found dead on the playground. Marta’s son finds her first and gets blamed for her death.

The incident awakens dormant demons. Marta and her family become the objects of hatred from neighbours, media and the online community surrounding the murdered girl’s mother.

The story unfolds through various perspectives: Marta desperately fighting for her son; the grieving mother looking for justice; Marta’s confused and frightened son; the property developer whose investment is at risk; and the actual killer – Marta’s neighbour oppressed by his toxic father, who fatally struck the girl in anger and is now battling guilt while covering his tracks.

The Golden Rock is a fascinating psychological thriller that hides a universal truth – the paralysing fear of social descent haunts us all, from the elite residents of luxury penthouses to anyone striving for acceptance. As the investigation unfolds, viewers will be forced to confront their own anxieties about belonging to a world where one misstep can cost you everything you’ve built.

THE DIGITAL FRONTLINES

Heroes Creative Studio
Ukraine

In today’s world, war isn’t only fought with missiles and tanks – it’s waged with malware, disinformation and silent sabotage. The Digital Frontlines dives deep into the cyberwars reshaping global power dynamics, where keystrokes can collapse cities and erase identities.
Focusing on Ukraine and Taiwan – two democratic nations facing relentless cyber pressure from authoritarian adversaries – this documentary reveals how digital attacks often precede physical invasions. In Ukraine, we witness the aftermath of Russian cyberstrikes on power grids and government systems. In Taiwan, we uncover China’s efforts to sever internet connectivity and destabilise institutions through coordinated disinformation and sabotage. These aren’t isolated incidents – they’re part of a broader global cyber battle extending to the US, Israel and the Middle East.
With exclusive access to classified operations, expert insights and cinematic reenactments, The Digital Frontlines takes viewers inside the invisible war shaping our world. High-impact visuals – political and military timelines, immersive animations and suspense-driven scenes – bring these critical cyberbattles to life.
From underwater cable sabotage to ransomware attacks on hospitals and airports, the film makes one thing clear: the line between civilian and combatant no longer exists. Every digital device is a potential battlefield. Every citizen, a potential target.
As Ukraine and Taiwan fight to protect their sovereignty in cyberspace, The Digital Frontlines delivers an urgent wake-up call: global security now depends on digital resilience. The world must learn – and act – before the next attack hits closer to home.
