2025 FINALISTS

INSANE

Listos Para Rodar
Argentina

INSANE is a docufictional series that immerses viewers in the lives and minds of extreme athletes who have faced extraordinary challenges, from severe injuries to near-fatal accidents. Over six episodes, we explore how they overcome the most critical moments of their careers, pushing physical and mental boundaries. With insights from the “Architects of the Mind” a panel of neuroscientists, sports psychologists, philosophers, and trauma specialists we uncover how they transform fear and pain into resilience and success.

Each episode highlights an athlete and their discipline, sharing inspiring stories of triumph over adversity. Kevin and Luciano Benavides rose as Dakar champions after devastating injuries; Maya Gabeira set a women’s world record surfing a 22.4-meter wave after nearly drowning; Leticia Bufoni broke barriers in skateboarding; Mark McMorris returned from a near-fatal injury to win Olympic bronze; and José “Maligno” Torres became an Olympic BMX freestyle medalist.

Beyond the action, INSANE delves into the emotional and mental battles these athletes face, revealing that true triumph lies not only in competition but also in conquering the mind’s challenges. Based on real events and enhanced with docufiction elements, the series offers practical insights for viewers, showing how to transform setbacks into opportunities for growth.

Directed at young and adult audiences interested in extreme sports, mental resilience, and self-improvement, INSANE is an invitation to reflect on human limits and the strength needed to achieve impossible dreams.
