Brazil’s ShopTime to adapt first format

A broadcaster in Brazil has ordered a local version of Israeli quizshow format Upgrade.

ShopTime in Brazil will air Upgrade, which comes from Tanin Productions in Israel and sees contestants answer a range of questions. If they get them right, their domestic appliances are upgraded and if they get them wrong, they are disabled for a month.

ShopTime is backed by Latin American online retail company B2W and Upgrade marks its first format acquisition. The show will air in Brazil under the name Renova.
