Animal Planet explores Monster Rivers

Animal Planet and UK factual producer Icon Films are coproducing a spin-off to long-running series River Monsters with its host extreme angler Jeremy Wade.

Monster Rivers (working title, 6×60′) will see Wade explore the health of the world’s rivers and the lives of the people and wildlife that depend upon them.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment will distribute the series outside the US. Wildlife documentary series River Monsters has aired on Animal Planet since 2009.

Harry Marshall, Laura Marshall and Steve Gooder serve as executive producers for Icon Films with Andie Clare as series producer. Lisa Lucas is executive producer for Animal Planet, with Patrick Keegan as supervising producer.
