AMC’s Spektrum Home will air Britain’s Best Back Gardens

AMC Networks Central Europe has acquired more than 120 hours of gardening-themed programming from distributor All3Media International.

The agreement, which AMC has struck for its Spektrum Home channel in Hungary, is one of a string of deals Discovery- and Liberty Global-owned All3 has sealed with broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe.

The AMC pact spans series including Britain’s Best Back Gardens, made by indie Spun Gold TV for the UK’s ITV, plus Monty Don’s Japanese Gardens, from Blink Films for the BBC.

The latter show has also been picked up by RTVS in Slovenia, as part of a 25-hour package, while Lithuania’s LNK has licensed the latest season of Spun Gold’s Love Your Garden (8×60’), fronted by Alan Titchmarsh.

All3 has also sold gardening content to RTL Croatia, First HDTV in Russia and CIS, and Domo+ in Poland.
