EMEA VP Caroline Stephenson latest senior exec to leave All3Media Int’l

Long-serving All3Media International executive Caroline Stephenson is the latest staffer to leave the company following its merger with Banijay Entertainment.

Caroline Stephenson

She is ending her role as senior VP for EMEA after almost 11 years with All3Media. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Stephenson said she will take a break before considering her future.

Stephenson started her career in the industry as director of sales at Optomen TV between 2007 and 2015. Heading the outfit’s global distribution business, she served on the Optomen board throughout the £40m (US$54m) sale of the business to All3Media in the summer of 2010.

Stephenson joined All3Media International in January 2016 when Optomen’s sales arm was folded into the company. She supported All3’s EMEA-wide distribution of content and format rights, as well as overseeing coproduction opportunities in the region.

She worked across numerous scripted and unscripted hits including black comedy Fleabag, The Tourist, Michael Jackson: The Trial and The Traitors.

All3Media International has seen several similarly high-profile departures since the group was acquired by Banijay in a US$8bn deal which closed in July.

Those leaving the company include All3Media International CEO Louise Pedersen and chief operating officer Sara Geater. Exec VP of formats and licensing Nick Smith also confirmed his departure last month, as did exec VP of strategic development Gary Woolf.

Stephenson said: “I want to thank my colleagues at All3Media International for proving that growing a business, smashing targets and winning many a peer poll can be lots of fun. Wishing all the best to our compadres at Banijay 2.0 too. I have no doubt you’ll do the All3 legacy proud.

“As for what comes next, after a quick break, I’ll be asking myself which hat I’d like to be lucky enough to wear for future adventures. I’m looking forward to it.”
