El Reino Infantil lines up movie based on digital hit La Granja de Zenón for 2028

La Granja de Zenón was born on YouTube

MIPJUNIOR: Argentine company Leader Entertainment, parent of El Reino Infantil, is preparing a feature film based on La Granja de Zenón, its hit kids’ franchise born on YouTube, with an international release planned for 2028.

The project marks another step in the expansion of an IP that, over its 15-year history, has grown from YouTube music videos into a global franchise spanning FAST platforms, streaming, television, live shows and consumer products.

According to figures shared by the company, El Reino Infantil has more than 240 million YouTube subscribers and operates over 50 channels in 11 languages. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, it recorded more than nine billion views, while its catalogue has amassed more than 180 billion views to date.

Titled La Granja de Zenón: La Película, the movie will introduce a visual revamp of the franchise’s universe and characters, alongside a narrative approach developed specifically for the big screen. The story will explore the origins of Bartolito and the journey that turned him into one of the franchise’s most popular characters.

Roberto ‘Kuky’ Pumar, founder and chairman of Leader Entertainment, said the film represents one of the company’s biggest investments and forms part of its strategy to expand into new entertainment, experience and product categories.

“This project shows that a major kids’ franchise can be born in the digital world, build a global community and then make the leap into cinema. With La Granja de Zenón, we followed the reverse of the traditional path: we first built a direct relationship with millions of families, one song at a time, and are now taking that universe to the big screen. It is a major investment and demonstrates that Latin America can create kids’ brands capable of competing with the world’s biggest international franchises,” he said.

The film forms part of El Reino Infantil’s diversification strategy, which has recently seen the company strike partnerships with international players including Mediawan Kids & Family, with which it is coproducing original series Wadoo and regionally distributing The Little Prince & Friends. The company is also developing original production Pili Pilota with Cake Entertainment.
