France Télévisions commissions S2 of kids’ animated series Mystery Lane

Mystery Lane S2 will include a crossover episode with Grizzy & the Lemmings

Public broadcaster France Télévisions has commissioned a second 26×22’ season of CG-animated kids’ series Mystery Lane, which is also set to become a feature film.

Produced by Paris-based Hari, Mystery Lane is an investigative comedy-adventure series that centres on a detective hamster and her little brother as they solve mysterious cases in London.

Season one airs in 84 countries, including the ABC in Australia, the BBC in the UK, Rai in Italy, Germany’s Super RTL, China’s Youku, Télé-Québec in Canada and Primo TV in the US.

S2 will include a crossover episode with Hari’s hit animated series Grizzy & the Lemmings, which celebrates its 10th anniversary next year. It will also feature two episodes introducing a new character, a cat, that is set to have its own series called The Phantom of Paris. Hari is currently in development on that series.

The crossover episodes are part of Hari’s strategy to build a shared universe, dubbed the Grizzyverse, where all its IPs interconnect.

Hari is also developing Mystery Lane feature film, Mystery Lane: The First Case, which will act as the brand’s origin story.
