20th TV ties in This Is Us director Olin

This Is Us executive producer and director Ken Olin has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Olin joins This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger in agreeing pacts with the now Disney-owned studio.

US broadcaster NBC handed the series an unprecedented new three-season order last month, making the family drama a key plank of its schedule.

“Ken is a special talent and a terrific guy who has been such a valuable resource to Dan and everyone at This Is Us,” said 20th’s president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis. “Keeping him at this studio and on that important show was literally a mission. And we’re equally excited to work on other projects with him.”
