Zinc strikes for Straker

Zinc Media, the production and publishing outfit formerly known as Ten Alps, has acquired UK producer Straker Films.

Straker is known for corporate video production and specialises in producing fast-paced video clips.

Mark Wood, CEO of Zinc, said: “Zinc Media has already broadened its range of television production through the acquisition of Reef TV and its investment in Chrysalis Vision.

“The acquisition of Straker Films gives Zinc Media a significant and credible footprint in the corporate video and storytelling market and we look forward to developing our business in this high-growth market.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zinc changed its name last month but retained its TV brands including Blakeway, Brook Lapping, Films of Record and Reef Television.
