ZDF bags Belle and Sebastian

Belle and Sebastian mixes adventure and humour

ZDF in Germany has become the latest broadcaster to pick up animated show Belle and Sebastian from distributor and producer Gaumont Television.

The 52×13’ 2D/HD series is based on a live-action TV series from the 1960s by Cecile Aubry and is being coproduced by Canadian prodco PVP Group and Gaumont.

Broadcasters including M6 and Piwi+ in France; Radio Canada; VRT and RTBF in Belgium; and RTS in Switzerland have already acquired the show.

Set in the Alps, Belle and Sebastian is aimed at kids aged 6-8 and follows the adventures of a boy and a dog.
