Greatest Events of World War II in HD Colour

UK prodco World Media Rights (WMR) has announced a documentary series titled Greatest Events of World War II in HD Colour, a remake of its series produced a decade ago.

Alan Griffiths and David McNab are executive producers on the 10×50’ series which charts the crucial moments of the Second World War using previously unseen archive footage processed with state-of-the-art colourisation software.

WMR’s original World War II in HD Colour (13×60’), narrated by Robert Powell and sold into 55 countries, redefined the war for a new generation and continues to rate well on linear and SVoD platforms.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment will distribute the new series under the two companies’ first-look output deal.

The London-based prodco recently received investment from Germany’s ZDF Enterprises and made its first move into scripted production.
