French DTT channel RMC Découverte has ordered a second season of motoring format Wheeler Dealers.

Paris-based Pernel Media will produce a 12×60′ series, two more episodes than its first run, after the show helped power an 88% rise in viewers compared with the same timeslot in 2016.

Wheeler Dealers France was commissioned by RMC Découverte‘s Guenaelle Troly and Rodolophe Guignard. It will be executive produced for Pernel by Samuel Kissous.

The format, originally produced for Discovery UK by indie producer Attaboy, is the latest to be remade by Pernel. Its slate includes Great British Menu (Le Meilleur Menu de France) for TF1 and Dinner Date (L’Amour au Menu) for Direct 8.
