Jean-Louis Blot, who has been director general of BBCWW France Productions for the past eight years, will now head up WBITP France. He will report to executive VP and head of WBITP Ronald Goes.

The firm will primarily focus on adapting Warner Bros formats such as The Bachelor and First Dates for the French market – as well as pitching its own originals, which could then be distributed globally by the parent company.

Blot was involved with the local adaptations of Dancing with the Stars (TF1), Bake Off (M6) and Top Gear (RMC Découverte) while at the commercial arm of the BBC.

Prior to his stint at BBCWW, Blot spent four years at Air Productions and previously worked with Endemol, Reservoir Productions and Api Productions in a career stretching back to 1994.

Blot will begin his new Paris-based role in September.

Goes said: “Jean-Louis brings with him an exceptional track record of successful television production in France, and an unrivalled passion for creating exciting, innovative content.”
