Walter Presents Iceland’s Case

UK broadcaster Channel 4’s on-demand foreign-language drama service Walter Presents has picked up an Icelandic psychological crime thriller from Red Arrow International.

Case (9×60’), produced by Sagafilm for Iceland’s Channel 2, hails from director Baldvin Z (Trapped, Life in a Fishbowl) and is written by Andri Óttarsson and Þorleifur Örn Arnarson.

The show, which investigates the death of a ballerina, premiered on Channel 2 last October. It has also been sold to HBO Europe, in a deal covering territories including Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The latest Red Arrow deal also sees Scandi comedy-drama Hellfjord (7×30’) go to Walter Presents.

Named after its chief creative officer Walter Iuzzolino, Walter Presents was launched by C4 last year as a platform for foreign-language drama and comedy and has since aired series including German spy thriller Deutschland 83.
