Vuguru seeks new development

Michael Eisner’s digital studio Vuguru has hired Carlo Martinelli as VP of development.

Martinelli joins from Bona Fide Productions (The Switch, Little Miss Sunshine), where he was VP. He previously worked in the Motion Picture Literary division at William Morris Agency.

“Vuguru is financing an unprecedented slate of scripted multi-platform projects this year – all sourced and developed by our pre-eminent creative team,” said Vuguru president Larry Tanz.

Vuguru has recently struck deals to produce web scripted shows with internet service provider AOL, which has been making a major push into content ownership.
