USA votes out Animals

Political Animals

USA Network will not be renewing its miniseries Political Animals for a second season.

The Signourney Weaver-led drama, about the downfall of a former first family, was greenlit at the beginning of 2012 and debuted in July.

However, the network took the decision not to axe it after the show drew an average of just 2.1 million viewers over its six hours. The move follows the cancellation of two other USA Network series, Fairly Legal and Common Law.
