Twofour hires from C4, BBC

UK production outfit Twofour has hired execs from the BBC and Channel 4 (C4), and made a raft of internal promotions, as part of international expansion plans.

Gyles Neville, currently editor of formats at UK broadcaster C4, has joined as executive producer while Cat Lawson is leaving her current role with the BBC’s in-house production team to be the prodco’s head of entertainment.

Andrew MacKenzie has been named chief creative officer for non-scripted and has in turn promoted David Clews to creative director of Twofour.

Grace Reynolds, who previously produced factual hits including Educating Yorkshire, has been appointed executive producer of documentaries.

Additional group roles have been handed to Shireen Abbott who is now group director of production and Anthony Hughes, who becomes chief financial officer. Matt Pritchard has been named group development director and Jonny Coller becomes Twofour’s new head of development.

Following the merger with Welsh-based Boom Pictures in October, Twofour Wales is now set to launch as part of the reorganisation with a new executive team reporting to Dan Adamson, who becomes group director of programmes.

All scripted and non-scripted production arms including Mainstreet, OSF, Indus, Boom Cymru and Boomerang will form part of the newly rebranded Twofour Group, reporting to CEO, Melanie Leach.
