Tricon restructures as Rutherford exits

Canada’s Tricon Films & Television has upped a member of its senior management team to replace exec VP of distribution and business development Jon Rutherford, who is leaving the company.

Karthiga Ratnasabapathy has been promoted to VP of worldwide sales and acquisitions and will be responsible for expanding the company’s distribution and rights management business.

She will also oversee and expand the distribution team following Rutherford’s exit at the end of this week, with his next move not yet known. Ratnasabapathy joined Tricon in 2013, having previously led the digital and transactional team at Entertainment One.
