TLC jigs with Sirens

Female-skewing lifestyle cablenet TLC has ordered a special on the world of Irish dancing from producer Sirens Media.

The Big Jig will air on the Discovery-owned US cablenet on Tuesday October 9 at 22.00 (ET/PT) spotlighting competitive Irish dancers who train for 300 days a year for three minutes of stage action at a time.

The special, produced by Sirens Media, will follow five young dancers as they compete in the 2012 World Irish Dance Championships in Belfast.

In related news, another Sirens Media production for Discovery Communications has been picked up for international distribution by Rive Gauche.
