The Middle gets Indian remake

An Indian channel is to air the first-ever local remake of Warner Bros Television’s primetime US comedy The Middle.

The Middle: Indian-style

Reliance Broadcast Network’s comedy channel Big Magic will air the remake this month.

The 24-part Hindi adaptation will be called Tedi Medi Family and produced by Bodhi Tree Productions for BigMagic. The show will be produced as a single-camera comedy and follows the daily commotion of raising a family.

The US version was created by Eileen Heisler & DeAnn Heline (Murphy Brown, How I Met Your Mother) and produced by Blackie and Blondie Productions in association with Warner Bros Television.

The ABC series is distributed globally by Warner Bros Worldwide Television Distribution, with format sales represented by Warner Bros International Television Production.
