Little Airplane’s P King Duckling

Belgian kids’ producer Studio100 has continued its international expansion with the purchase of New York-based preschool outfit Little Airplane Productions.

Little Airplane is known for Wonder Pets, Small Potatoes, Super Wings, P King Duckling and other originals created for broadcasters around the world. The company was founded by Josh Selig in 1999.

It has worked with Disney, Nickelodeon and Sprout in the US and with KiKA, CBeebies and Canal+ in Europe. The company also develops content with leading Chinese partners to export internationally, such as Super Wings.

Little Airplane will continue to focus on developing and producing new projects in close cooperation with Studio100’s animation studios: Studio100 Animation in Paris and Flying Bark Productions in Sydney.

Studio100 Media in Munich takes care of international content sales, the exploitation of licences and merchandising, as well as the worldwide distribution of new brands and productions.

Selig will work closely with Studio100 founders Hans Bourlon and Hans Ulrich Stoef as part of the takeover.
