Twenty new episodes, produced by Matador Content and Eight Million Plus Productions, will debut in 2016.

Viacom-owned Spike is currently airing the first season, the first four episodes of which have averaged three million viewers and become an online viral hit with 107 million online streams in three weeks.

The show gets celebrities to lip sync well-known pop and rock hits. A clip of actress Anne Hathaway performing Miley Cyrus track Wrecking Ball has already clocked up 14 million views online.

Hosted by LL Cool J and directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock), Lip Sync Battle is executive produced by Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson and Stephen Merchant.

The format stems from a segment in Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight show, which airs on NBC.
