Smithsonian says goodbye to Spock

Smithsonian Channel in the US is commemorating the late Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy by airing special behind-the-scenes episodes of the sci-fi series.

Nimoy, who played Spock, the science officer and first officer on Star Trek’s Starship Enterprise, died on Friday, aged 83.

In tribute, Smithsonian Channel will air episodes of The Real Story: Star Trek this week, beginning today at 17.00 (ET).

The show, which features interviews with the late actor, will then broadcast on Wednesday at 13.00, Thursday at 18.00 and Friday at 15.00.
