Sky1 gobbles up Ratburger

Sky1 in the UK has ordered an adaptation of David Walliams’ children’s novel Ratburger for its schedule this Christmas.

The comedy is being produced by UK-based King Bert Productions, the prodco owned by Little Britain star Walliams and comedian Miranda Hart.

Kevin Cecil (Gnomeo and Juliet, Billionaire Boy) and Walliams write, with Matt Lipsey directing and Jo Sargent (Miranda, Ab Fab) exec producing.

Ratburger follows a young girl called Zoe who befriends a rat that lives in her bedroom. It was commissioned by Jon Mountague, Sky’s head of comedy.
