SIC plugs in first Power Couple

MIPTV: Portuguese network SIC Channel will air the first local remake of Dori Media Group’s reality format Power Couple, which debuted recently in Israel.

The show, to be produced by FremantleMedia Portugal, follows eight couples who face extreme challenges that test how well they really know each other.

The format, from Tel Aviv-based production outfit Abot Hameiri, premiered on Channel 10 in Israel in February and a second season has already been ordered by the channel.

Dori also revealed that it is in advanced talks to sell the show to networks in the US, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
