Shine grabs Eyeworks exec for sales

The international distribution arm of Shine Group has hired a senior VP from Eyeworks to oversee business in North and South America.

Ted Bookstaver joins Shine International as senior VP and head of Americas, covering sales and acquisitions activity in the region.

Shine’s LA-based sales team and Miami-based VP for sales in Latin America, Daniel Rodriguez, will report into Bookstaver. He succeeds Tania Jacobson in the role, who will continue as senior VP of sales for the area.

Bookstaver joins from Los Angeles-based Eyeworks International Distribution (EID), where he was senior VP of international sales. Prior to his arrival at Eyeworks in 2010, he was VP of sales at CBS-owned King World Internatinal Productions.

He will start work on October 1, ahead of Mipcom, reporting to Shine International CEO Nadine Nohr.

Shine International distributes programming from Shine Group’s library of scripted and unscripted programming along with content from independent producers.
