Joe Motiki might seem like your regular 'ice cream man on a bike', but he’s really a hilarious game show host looking for cold-treat-seekers! One second his unsuspecting guests are buying a vanilla cone and the next they're startled by a siren popping out of the ice cream freezer and a crew of TV cameras. In each half-hour episode, the viewer plays along with the contestants as they flex their mental muscles, answering questions that become increasingly difficult. The first question is worth ten dollars and ridiculously easy. With every correct answer after that, the contestants’ money doubles – potentially up to more than five thousand dollars. One wrong answer can make that cash melt away, but this is a feel-good show so everybody wins something in the end.
When Joe’s not moderating the games, he’s scouring the parks, streets and beaches for unsuspecting folks to answer one-off trivia questions for cash. Joe shows people obscure gadgets and little-known edibles while testing their culinary vocabulary and sense of humour. And you won’t believe the things he convinces people to bite, taste and try to pronounce!
