Rewind’s HITS reaches Malaysia

Fledgling entertainment firm Rewind Networks has expanded the reach of its HITS network after agreeing a carriage deal with Malaysian pay TV provider.

Kuala Lumpur-based Astro will offer HITS to its subscribers from November 16, enabling viewers to watch a range of classic TV content from CBS Studios, NBCUniversal and 20th Century Fox.

The network will air classic comedies Cheers and Seinfeld, as well as a range of US dramas, such as Grey’s Anatomy, Law & Order and Star Trek – The Next Generation.

It is the fourth such deal for HITS following its launch last year on StarHub in Singapore. It also now airs on Indovision in Indonesia and SkyCable in the Philippines.

The channel will be available with Bahasa Malaysia and Simplified Chinese subtitles, with series including Mork & Mindy, M*A*S*H, The X-Files and The Cosby Show also available.
