Remarkable rejigs factual, entertainment

Endemol Shine Group-owned prodco Remarkable is rejigging its senior management team with appointments at its factual and entertainment divisions.

Patrick Furlong takes up the newly created role of head of factual and is tasked with strengthening and delivering an original slate of factual programming.

Furlong was previously at Optomen and has been executive producer on UK shows including Employable Me for BBC2 and BBC3, as well as Channel 4 duo Kevin McCloud’s Escape to the Wild and Heston’s Feasts.

Meanwhile Richard Hague, previously in-house exec producer at Remarkable, has been promoted to the new role of head of entertainment, overseeing original and returning entertainment programming.

Hague first joined Endemol Shine UK in 2005 and has worked on The Big Spell for Sky 1, Deal or No Deal on Tour for C4 and BBC1 gameshow Pointless. Both report into joint MD’s James Fox and Kitty Walshe.

Remarkable’s slate includes BBC1 Saturday night offering Pointless Celebrities, The House that £100K Built for BBC2 and The Big Spell, which is set to air on Sky 1.

Remarkable revamped its senior management team in July, appointing a creative director and a development chief.
