Reed launches Mip Cancun

Reed Midem, the organiser of international TV events MipTV and MipCom, has revealed plans to launch a new regional buyers’ summit targeting the Latin American market.

Mip Cancun will take place between 19-21 November in Mexico and claims to be welcoming acquisition executives representing up to 40 channels from 15 different countries across the Lat Am region, as well as up to 40 distributors of international programming.

The summit will focus on scripted and unscripted programming, including fiction, formats, factual and children’s entertainment.

Laurine Garaude, director of Reed Midem’s television division, said the event had been created because of the increasing interest in the Latin American market.

Buyers and sellers will be matched in advance, according to various selection criteria and receive a set agenda of pre-scheduled meetings.
