RDF fills Coelen’s shoes

UK superindie RDF Media Group has replaced departed US CEO Chris Coelen, naming group director of factual, entertainment and comedy Grant Mansfield as his successor.

Coelen resigned as CEO of RDF Media USA “by mutual agreement” last month, announcing his departure just hours after ITV exec Natalka Znak was named as the company’s new executive VP.

Mansfield will remain as group director of factual, entertainment and comedy, but will relocate to LA later this month to focus on the new role. He will report to RDF Media Group CEO David Frank.

In a statement, Frank said: “Moving Grant to the US is an amazing opportunity for him and us. I’m hoping that his presence over there will lead to much greater collaboration between our creative teams in the UK and the US.”

Mansfield added: “I’m looking forward to working with colleagues in the US and the UK to expand an already strong slate of programmes at RDF USA. It’s a hugely exciting time for our business in the States and by further strengthening the ties between our production operations on both sides of the Atlantic, I believe there is significant opportunity for further growth.”
