Plus7 arrives on Xbox in Oz

Australia’s Yahoo!7, the online co-venture between US web firm Yahoo! and broadcaster Seven West Media, has teamed up with Microsoft’s Xbox One console to deliver a catch-up TV application.

The Plus7 catch-up service will launch as a dedicated app this month on Xbox One and give users access to selected Seven Network shows, including The X Factor and My Kitchen Rules.

Plus7 offers video streaming of full-length episodes from both Seven Network and male-skewing sister channel 7mate, as well as other content partners.

It is Australia’s leading catch-up TV service, averaging 6.5 million streams a month across web, mobile, tablet and other devices. The app was launched on Sony’s PS3 console in 2010 but is yet to feature on its latest console, the PS4.
