Paramount appoints GM in Lat Am

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has appointed a brand manager of its new 24-hour movie-skewing Paramount Channel in Latin America.

Carlos Penzini, currently senior VP of strategy and business development for VIMN The Americas, will continue in his current role but will now take responsibility for the new network, which is expected to launch in November.

Based in Miami, Penzini will report directly to Pierluigi Gazzolo, chief operating officer of VIMN and interim MD for VIMN The Americas.

VIMN’s first Paramount Channel launched in Spain in 2012. The channel is also available in France, Hungary, Russia, and Romania and reaches more than 30 million viewers globally.
