Oz, Mid East catch Danger Mouse

Danger Mouse

Danger Mouse returned to UK TV in September

International broadcasters including ABC in Australia and MBC in the Middle East have picked up the rebooted version of classic kids’ animated series Danger Mouse.

Distributor FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment has secured deals around the world for the show, which returned to UK screens on CBBC after a 23-year absence in September.

Channel 4 in New Zealand, the Lagardère Group channels in France and RTÉ in the Republic of Ireland have also picked up local free-to-air rights to the series. The show had previously been sold to SVoD giant Netflix in multiple territories.

Commissioned by CBBC controller Cheryl Taylor, the coproduction with FremantleMedia Kids and Family is animated by Boulder Media. Sarah Muller executive produces for CBBC, and Bob Higgins and Chapman Maddox fill the role for FremantleMedia.

FremantleMedia Kids and Family owns the global TV and licensing rights to the series.
