ORF leads Giallo to Scene of the Crime

ORF murder investigation series Scene of the Crime

Italian free-to-air channel Giallo and Franco-German cultural broadcaster Arte are among international buyers to have picked up programming from ORF-Enterprise this week at Mipcom.

Discovery Italia-owned Giallo has secured rights to 17 episodes of Austrian distributor ORF’s crime drama series Scene of the Crime, which centres on different murder cases.

Documentary High Life at Low Temperature, which has already been sold into countries including Poland, Taiwan and Thailand, has now been picked up by Arte in France together with Stars & Stripes, which explores the science behind the various colours and patterns on animal fur.

IRIB in Iran has also acquired Scene of the Crime episodes totalling 10 hours, while Swiss public broadcaster SRF has picked up the show’s recently released episode title Virus.

Elsewhere, Al Jazeera Documentary Channel has added Vanishing Kings II as part of a 10-hour package that includes wildlife docs Garden Wild and Wild Istanbul.
