Oddbods goes to Google, iTunes

Oddbods has racked up more than two billion views on YouTube

Google Play and iTunes have added animation series Insectibles and Oddbods from digital distributor MoMedia to their global transactional video-on-demand (VoD) offerings.

Both shows come from animation producer and consumer products company One Animation. Insectibles, a comedy-adventure series, is coproduced with KIKA, Discovery Kids and ZDF Enterprises.

Emmy-nominated Oddbods, meanwhile, is a sketch show. Its YouTube channel boasts more than two billion views and over a million subscribers.

Maxim de Wit, head of digital strategy for One Animation, said: “We continuously aim to expand the availability of our content across all platforms. We chose MoMedia to work with as it has an excellent track record in ensuring this within a dynamic marketplace moving at warp speed.”

One Animation has produced a number of titles that are broadcast on global networks such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Amazon Prime and seen across over 100 countries worldwide.

MoMedia is a UK-based digital distributor and VoD management agency, which has preferred-partner status with iTunes, Google Play, Netflix and Amazon and works with global brands to help extend their IP to digital service providers.
