OCS links with SPT

French pay TV channel OCS has acquired a variety of TV series from Sony Pictures Television (SPT) after signing a multi-year volume deal.

OCS (previously known as Orange Cinéma Séries), which is majority-owned by Orange, has picked up exclusive premiere rights to superpower crime drama Powers and double Golden Globe-winning comedy show Transparent, as well as hit comedy-drama series Mozart in the Jungle.

OCS subscribers will also have exclusive first-run access to all of SPT’s new feature films, including Elysium, White House Down, Captain Phillips and Equalizer, as well as upcoming movie Chappie and, in 2016, Robert Zememkis’s highly anticipated film The Walk.

Powers, the first PlayStation Originals series, will be available in France on March 10 – the global release date of the 10-part show.
