Microsoft joins Fox's Family US network Fox is collaborating with Microsoft on a Windows 7-branded Family Guy special. The half-hour special, Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show, will air on November 8 at 20.30, featuring original animation and live performances of Family Guy musical numbers.The evening will also feature new episodes of American Dad, The Cleveland Show and Family Guy. The special, which will promote Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 7, will air without advertising but will feature Microsoft-branded programming. As broadcasters around the globe struggle with the fall in ad spening, Jean Rossi, president of Fox One and executive VP of sales for Fox, said the move was an overhaul of the "Hollywood tradition of the sponsored variety show."
