Syndication success for NBCU's Wilkos NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's (NBCUD) The Steve Wilkos Show has been renewed for a third season in US national syndication by local stations including Tribune, Sinclair and Hearst-Argyle. The talkshow has been renewed on top Tribune stations including WPIX-TV New York, KTLA-TV Los Angeles and WPHL-TV Philadelphia; Sinclair stations including WPGH-TV Pittsburgh, WNUV-TV Baltimore and WTTE-TV Columbus; on Weigel Broadcasting's WCIU-TV Chicago, Sunbeam's WLVI-TV Boston; and Hearst-owned WKCF-TV Orlando. Its titular star, a veteran of the US Marine Corps and a former Chicago police officer, is now a national spokesman for USA Cares, a non-profit organisation that provides military families with financial and advocacy support. "The Steve Wilkos Show has shown positive ratings growth for our local station partners and continues to be a wonderful complement to broadcasters' existing daytime line-ups," said NBCUD president Barry Wallach. "Steve and the show's producers are helping change the lives of millions of Americans each day on the screen and off with their efforts, including their current initiative to aid the families of US military personnel the with USA Cares." The show has the biggest year-to-year growth of all nationally syndicated strips and hit its all-time-high ratings in recent weekly syndication figures, according to NBCUD.
