Netherlands seeks asylum again

A Dutch pubcaster has commissioned a second season of international Emmy-winning Australian documentary format Go Back to Where You Came From.

EO has ordered another local run (6×30’) of the series in which people retrace the journeys asylum seekers have taken to reach their country. The original aired in Australia on SBS.

Dutch indie Tuvalu Media will again produce the format to air on channel NPO3 in early 2016.

”Our second series will be with a younger cast and we hope to raise the same attention for this issue as we did with the first series. There is still a lot of ignorance and it’s a story that needs to be told,” said Tuvalu Media MD Taco Zimmerman.
