Nat Geo Italy orders 90s show

National Geographic Channel Italy has greenlit a localised special of popular international series The ‘90s: The Decade That Connected Us.

The ‘90s In Italy (Gli Anni ’90 in Italia), produced by Rome-based indie Stand By Me, features interviews with Italian celebrities, politicians, musicians and athletes and explores a decade marked by technological innovation as well as significant political, social and cultural shifts.

The episode, to broadcast in September, will be hosted by Matteo Bordone, a journalist at tech magazine Wired Italia.

In the same month, National Geographic Channel will also debut The ‘90s: The Decade That Connected Us series in Italy. The TV event series follows on the heels of last year’s The ’80s: The Decade That Made Us.
